Poker news: schedules, regulation and the money lists
We cover three things: what the tours and venues have actually scheduled, what regulators have actually decided, and what has moved on the national money lists. Every item is written from a primary source — an operator's own schedule, a regulator's own register, a venue's own page — and carries that source and the date we read it.

What we cover
**Schedules.** When a tour or a venue publishes a festival calendar, buy-ins and guarantees, that is news a player can use. We read the organiser's own pages rather than trade summaries of them.
**Regulation.** Licence registers, permit terms, advertising rules, market openings and closures. This is the least glamorous category and the one that most often changes whether a player in a given country can legally play at all.
**Money lists.** When a national all-time list shifts — a new leader, a country's first eight-figure earner, a generational handover — that is worth recording, with the figures attributed and dated.
What we do not do
We do not run operator press releases as news. We do not report rumours of schedule changes, and we do not publish a date we have not read on a primary source — where we have had to infer one, the record says so in plain words.
We also publish the negative result. A verified finding that a market is closed, that a room no longer spreads poker, or that a widely repeated claim about a licence does not hold up, is reported the same as any other story. Those tend to be the most useful items we run, because nobody with a commercial interest will tell you them.
On legal and regulatory coverage
Anything we write about licensing, permits, taxation or advertising rules is general information, not legal advice. Where the position is unfavourable for players — and in several markets we cover it plainly is — we say so rather than writing around it. A market page that reads like an advertisement is not worth having.
Sourcing and corrections
Every article lists the source it was written from, with the date. Where a figure came from a money list it is attributed to that list. Where a claim rests on a regulator's register, the register is named. If we get something wrong and can establish it, the record is corrected and the correction is visible rather than silently overwritten — we have published corrections of our own earlier reporting where a source turned out to contradict a summary of itself.
For country-level background rather than news, the market pages carry the legal position, the venues and the calendar for each country.
Frequently asked questions
Where does this news come from?
Primary sources: tour and venue schedules on the organiser's own site, regulators' own registers and published rules, and the national all-time money lists. Every item names its source and the date we read it.
Do you publish operator press releases?
No. We read operators' own pages for facts such as schedules and terms, but we do not run promotional material as news.
Is your legal and regulatory coverage legal advice?
No. It is general information about what regulators have published. Rules change and vary by jurisdiction, and anyone making a decision on the basis of them should take their own advice.
What happens when you get something wrong?
The record is corrected against the primary source and the correction is visible rather than quietly replacing the original. We have published corrections to our own earlier reporting.
