Austria's road to the million: Linz opens the CAPT Million Cup this week

Casino Linz runs the CAPT Million Cup from 15 to 17 October 2026 with a EUR 20,000 guarantee and EUR 550 CAPT Million tickets for the top three, the first visible step on a nationwide satellite programme that ends at Casino Baden in November with a one million euro guaranteed prize pool.

Casinos Austria's biggest tournament of the year is the CAPT Million at Casino Baden, running from 19 to 30 November 2026 with a guaranteed prize pool of one million euros. Getting there is the interesting part, because almost the whole country is now feeding it.

This week it is Linz's turn. The CAPT Million Cup starts on Thursday 15 October with a EUR 50 plus 10 warm-up that guarantees three seats into the Cup itself. The two starting flights follow on Friday at 18:00 and Saturday at 15:00, both EUR 130 plus 20, sharing a EUR 20,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the final plays out on Saturday evening from 20:30. Casino Linz says the three best-placed players each take a CAPT Million starting-day ticket worth EUR 550.

The cheaper route opens in November. From Thursday 5 November, Linz runs CAPT Million satellites at EUR 25 plus 5, with two tickets, a stated EUR 1,100, guaranteed each time. At Casino Baden the pattern is different again: starting days every Saturday and satellites every Tuesday, to the point that Baden has cut its weekday tournament programme back to the Monday beginner event because Tuesdays belong to the satellites.

For anyone planning a trip rather than a qualification, Tyrol has the other date worth marking. Casino Seefeld hosts CAPT Innsbruck satellites from 26 to 31 October at EUR 50 plus 10, then X-MAS Mania from 16 to 19 December, four deepstacks from EUR 100 plus 20 to EUR 200 plus 30 with a combined EUR 32,000 guaranteed.

All buy-ins and guarantees above are as published by Casinos Austria. Tournament management can change a schedule, so confirm with the casino before travelling.
