BSOP Millions 2026: headline Super High Roller halves to R$ 250,000 as the grid is renumbered

The BSOP has reworked the published grid for its 13-28 November season finale in Sao Paulo. Comparing the tour's own schedule page on 20 October against a reading of the same page on 29 September, the festival's biggest buy-in has gone from R$ 500,000 to R$ 250,000, the second-largest from R$ 250,000 to R$ 100,000, and almost every event now carries a different number. The four Torneio Gold guarantees are unchanged.

The BSOP publishes the full grid for its season finale on its own schedule page, and that page is not fixed. Reading it on 20 October 2026 against a reading of the same page on 29 September shows two substantive changes and one piece of housekeeping that matters more than it sounds.

The substantive changes are at the top of the price list. The festival's headline high roller, the Super High Roller Main Event played over 20 to 22 November with the same 18:00 Day 1 start as before, now prints a buy-in of R$ 250,000 where the September grid showed R$ 500,000. The event immediately below it, on 18 and 19 November with a 15:00 start, now prints R$ 100,000 where September showed R$ 250,000. Dates and start times are unchanged; only the figures moved.

The housekeeping is that the grid has been renumbered end to end. The Main Event is now #26, the Championship #59, the Millionaire Maker #39, the Mini Main Event #70, the Mini Championship #82, the Pot Limit Omaha Main Event #84 and the Super Million #94. Each sat on a different number in September. Event #41, which under the earlier numbering we had recorded as a quarter-million-real high roller, is now a R$ 2,500 deepstack mystery bounty. Anyone working from a printout made a few weeks ago is working from the wrong numbers, and we have corrected our own records accordingly rather than leaving them to look authoritative.

What has not changed is the part the festival is built around. The four Torneio Gold events still carry the same guarantees: the BSOP Main Event at R$ 5,000 with R$ 10,000,000 guaranteed, the BSOP Championship at R$ 25,000 with R$ 15,000,000, the Millionaire Maker at R$ 1,200 with R$ 5,000,000 and the Super Million at R$ 2,500 with R$ 1,000,000. The festival still runs 13 to 28 November 2026 at the WTC Sheraton in Sao Paulo, and the grid still carries more than a hundred numbered events, from R$ 200 mega-satellites to the six-figure high rollers.

The practical lesson is small and worth repeating: on a festival this large the published schedule is a living document until the doors open. Check a buy-in on the tour's own page on the day you commit to it, not against a summary written weeks earlier. A guarantee is a minimum prize pool rather than an expected return, and poker at this festival, as anywhere, is a skill game played for entertainment.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly changed?

Two buy-ins and the event numbering. The Super High Roller Main Event (20-22 November) went from R$ 500,000 to R$ 250,000 and the 18-19 November super high roller from R$ 250,000 to R$ 100,000, while essentially every event on the grid now carries a different number than it did in September.

Did the guarantees change?

No. The four Torneio Gold guarantees are the same: R$ 10,000,000 on the Main Event, R$ 15,000,000 on the Championship, R$ 5,000,000 on the Millionaire Maker and R$ 1,000,000 on the Super Million.
