Eoghan O'Dea carries one of Irish poker's great names — his father Donnacha O'Dea was a 1998 WSOP bracelet winner and Olympic swimmer — and made his own mark by reaching the November Nine of the 2011 WSOP Main Event, finishing sixth for $1,720,831. Before that he was runner-up at WPT Marrakech in 2009 and in the 2008 Sky Sports Poker Million, and he has since become a regular at the WSOP's $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, final-tabling it in both 2017 and 2019. Sixth on the Irish all-time list with more than $3.5 million in live earnings.
