Stephen Chidwick
Deal, Kent, United Kingdom
Stephen Chidwick is the most successful tournament player Britain has produced and, on the figures reported in 2026, the second-highest live earner in the history of the game. Born in Deal on the Kent coast in 1989, he came up through online poker and the mid-stakes UK circuit before settling into the high-roller world, where he has been a fixture for more than a decade.
His record is built on consistency rather than one giant score: two WSOP bracelets, a spell at number one in the Global Poker Index in 2018, and final tables across Triton, PokerStars and Aria high-roller series year after year. His largest single result came in 2025, a $3.46 million win in a $200,000 short-deck event at Triton Jeju.
Chidwick plays comparatively little at the lower buy-ins these days, so the best place to see him is a Triton or Super High Roller Bowl stop — or the WSOP in Las Vegas each summer.
