Hong Kong's all-time money list is the most top-heavy in Asia — and its ninth-place grinder has never won six figures
Daniel Chi Tang has cleared $45 million and Elton Tsang sits on $31.5 million, between them holding more than half of everything Hong Kong's top fifteen have ever won. Behind them the list splits into two careers that barely resemble each other.
Read on 2 October 2026, the Hendon Mob's Hong Kong all-time live money list is a study in concentration. Daniel Chi Tang leads on $45,253,977 and Elton Tsang is second on $31,479,299. Add the two together and you have more than $76 million — comfortably more than half of everything the market's top fifteen have recorded between them, and enough to put Chi Tang inside the global top twenty on his own.
Winfred Yu is third on $14,116,379, a figure that moved up by close to $1.8 million over the course of September. Stanley Choi ($8,183,075) and Ka Kwan Lau ($6,984,953) complete a top five that has no close rivals: sixth place, Wayne Heung, is on $5,010,919.
One cash, or three hundred
What makes the rest of the list worth reading is how differently the money was earned.
Nick Wong is seventh with $4,642,208, and $3,291,513 of that — about 71 per cent — is a single third place in the HK$2,000,000 Super High Roller at the 2012 Macau High Stakes Challenge, a HK$25,530,000 payday from the height of the Macau boom. His most recent recorded cash is from the Macau Poker Cup in February 2017. Wayne Heung's total has the same shape in milder form: $1,825,000 of his $5 million came from second place in the $100,000 Triton Cyprus Main Event in September 2022.
Now look at ninth. Hon Cheong Lee has $3,296,161, and his best live cash in a career of 307 recorded results is $109,893 — second in the APT Super High Roller 8-Max at APT Hanoi Billions in December 2023. That is an average of roughly $10,700 a cash, and it is the only total in Hong Kong's top ten assembled without a single score the players above him would notice. Eighth-placed Yan Shing Tsang is close behind on the same model: $4,340,942 from 247 cashes, best cash $921,004 at GuangDong Asia Millions in Macau in 2013.
Both are still playing. Lee took third in the KRW 3,500,000 High Roller Challenge and fifth in the APPT Super High Roller at APPT Korea in Incheon in September 2026; Tsang finished 24th in the $1,700 WSOP Circuit Main Event in Las Vegas in July.
The map has moved
The older money on this list is Macau money — the Macau High Stakes Challenge, GuangDong Asia Millions, the Macau Poker Cup, the Asian Poker Tour's Macau stops. The recent money is not. The 2023 to 2026 cashes recorded against these players come overwhelmingly from Jeju and Incheon in South Korea, Hanoi in Vietnam, Kyrenia in Cyprus and Budva in Montenegro, on the Triton Super High Roller Series, the Asian Poker Tour and APPT. For a market whose players are near the top of the world rankings, strikingly little of it is won anywhere near home.
All figures are from the Hendon Mob's Hong Kong all-time money list and the players' own Hendon Mob profiles, read on 2 October 2026. Ranks ten to fifteen — Park Yu Cheung, Timothy Chung, Alan King Lun Lau, Ming Zhong Liu, Tom Tsz Kin Heung and Stanley Wei Rui Tang, all between $2.0 million and $3.3 million — are listed here from the ranking page only; their individual results have not yet been checked.
