Grosvenor moves the UKPL's £300,000 Coventry finale to December and pushes the Monster Stack Tour into Christmas week
Grosvenor Poker has rescheduled the last UK Poker League festival of 2026. A notice on the UKPL page now says the Coventry festival runs 15 to 20 December rather than the 10 to 15 November dates the same page carried in October — six weeks later, and outside the season window its own terms and conditions still name. The Monster Stack Tour has moved in the same direction: a schedule that was published as finishing with Luton in early November now lists two further legs, Reading South from 10 to 15 November and Edinburgh from 15 to 20 December. Between them the changes give Grosvenor a December week carrying both a £560 Main Event guaranteeing £150,000 in the Midlands and a £100 tournament guaranteeing £50,000 in Scotland.
Grosvenor Poker's UKPL page opens, as read on 2 November 2026, with a plain statement: the Coventry dates have changed, and the festival now runs 15 to 20 December. It is the last UK Poker League stop of the season, and the page puts £300,000 of guarantees across its seven tournaments.
The festival's position in the calendar has been unstable for weeks. In mid-October the UKPL page carried a dated season table giving the Coventry Grand Final as 10 to 15 November, while Grosvenor's live poker index tile for the same festival advertised 14 to 20 December under a heading that still read "UK Poker League 2025". Faced with those two, we published the November dates on the strength of the dated table, whose weekdays matched the 2026 calendar. The notice now on the page settles it the other way: December was closer to right, though the dates are 15 to 20 rather than 14 to 20.
One loose end survives on Grosvenor's own page. The 888poker UKPL 2026 terms and conditions, lower down the same URL, still set the season as starting 17 February 2026 and finishing 15 November 2026 — a window the rescheduled festival now falls outside entirely. The same terms reserve Grosvenor's right to change the finish date and to move or cancel events, so the notice at the top is the more current of the two statements; players should not read the November date in the terms as a reason to doubt the December festival.
What the festival carries
The template is the one Grosvenor repeats at every UKPL stop. The 888poker Main Event costs £500 plus a £60 fee and guarantees £150,000, up from £100,000 the previous season at an unchanged buy-in, with five starting flights from Thursday to Saturday, the last of them a turbo, and Day 2 on the Sunday from 50,000 starting chips. Around it sit the £220+£30 Opening Voyage for £50,000 over three flights from the Tuesday, a £1,000+£100 High Roller for another £50,000 from Thursday, a £130+£20 four-card PLO event for £10,000, the £100+£100+£20 KO Rumble for £5,000, a £130+£20 Seniors for £5,000 and the £175+£25 Big Shot for £15,000. Targeted cashout satellites run most days from £81+£9, and a satellite seat can be handed to another player but has to be played rather than withdrawn.
The Monster Stack Tour grew too
The tour's schedule page told the same story from the other end. In October it listed nineteen legs running from June to a single November finish at Luton. Read on 2 November, the table shows three legs still to come: Luton from 3 to 8 November, then Reading South from 10 to 15 November and Edinburgh from 15 to 20 December. Grosvenor removes played legs from the table rather than marking them complete, so the two later stops are additions rather than something previously overlooked. Terms are unchanged at £80 plus a £20 fee for a £50,000 guarantee — half the price of a G200 for the same guarantee, which is what makes the tour worth travelling for on a small bankroll.
A busy week before Christmas
The net effect is that 15 to 20 December, a week Grosvenor normally leaves quiet, now carries two guaranteed events at opposite ends of the price range and the country: the UKPL finale at Coventry and the Monster Stack Tour's closing leg at Edinburgh. The G200 finishes a fortnight earlier, with Round 14 at Sheffield and Glasgow Merchant City from 1 to 6 December, and Round 13 runs at Bolton and Edinburgh from 10 to 15 November — the same six days as the Monster Stack's Reading South leg.
Anyone holding November travel for Coventry should contact the room. Grosvenor's published dates have moved twice on this festival in six weeks.
