CAPT Bregenz II Main Event draws 236 entries for a EUR 236,000 pool

The second Casinos Austria Poker Tour stop of the year at Casino Bregenz has finished, and the room has published its own closing summary. The Main Event drew 236 entries and built a prize pool of EUR 236,000 — a figure that works out at exactly EUR 1,000 per entry, which is the shape a one-buy-in-equals-one-thousand structure produces when the fees are stripped out of the advertised pool.

The winner was a Swiss player whom Casinos Austria names only by his first name, Pascal, taking the CAPT trophy and EUR 39,300. That is about 16.7 per cent of the pool for first place, which is a flatter top end than many European tours of this size pay, and usually means either a deal at the final table or a payout curve deliberately spread down the ladder. The casino's notice does not say which, and we do not record a reason it has not given.

For context on the market: CAPT Bregenz II ran 13 to 25 October, and for its duration the room put cash-game promotions on every day rather than its usual five days a week, as part of a EUR 10,700 October promotional budget. The festival's end leaves Bregenz with two dated items on its calendar — the eight-casino Halloween cash-game promotion on 31 October, which carries EUR 1,000 locally, and then the Pokermania Xmas Edition from 1 to 6 December, six days of tournaments that will close the room's 2026 poker year.

Austria's bigger story is still ahead of it. The CAPT Million, with a guaranteed EUR 1,000,000 prize pool, runs at Casino Baden from 19 to 30 November, fed by Day 1 flights and satellites that have been running across the Austrian casinos since September.
