An agreement between all-in players to deal the remaining board cards two (or more) separate times, with each run deciding half the pot. It reduces variance without changing expected value.
Example. All-in on the flop with a flush draw against a set, the players agree to run it twice and split the pot after one run each.
Running it twice is common in high-stakes cash games and on many online sites, and it is always optional — everyone in the hand must agree. Because each run has the same odds, neither player gains an edge; the favourite simply wins the whole pot less often and loses it less often. Tournaments never run it twice.
