Reverse tell

A deliberately staged behaviour designed to be misread as a genuine tell — acting weak with a strong hand or strong with a weak one. The old rule 'weak means strong' is essentially a warning about reverse tells.

Example. He shrugged and said 'I guess I call' with the nuts — a reverse tell.
