Casino Munkebjerg, Vejle

Casino Munkebjerg, in the hotel of the same name in the woods above Vejle, deals real poker and is the festival centre of Danish poker outside Copenhagen. Its larger tournaments are run in partnership with Danske Spil Poker, and it publishes a full annual calendar: the Munkebjerg Poker Tour in February, which it calls the biggest annual poker tournament in Jutland, an Easter Tour, MiniMONSTER in May, a Mystery Bounty in June, the month-long July High, the Fall Poker Tour in October, a Dansk Poker Tour stop in November and a Jule Tour between Christmas and New Year. Field sizes are substantial for the country — the casino reports 117 players at the 2025 Fall Tour final and payouts to 103 players at the 2025 Jule Tour. Between festivals it runs tournaments on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 18:30, with registration closing at 17:00 and a buy-in that varies week to week and is published only inside its own registration system. Players seated from the start get 3,000 extra chips. Cash games run only alongside the bigger festivals, not on ordinary tournament nights. The casino opens at 18:00 and is closed on 24 and 25 December.
