MERKUR Spielbank Siegburg (opening planned autumn 2026)
Isaac-Bürger-Straße, 53721 Siegburg · Siegburg · Germany
Siegburg is set to become the sixth MERKUR casino in North Rhine-Westphalia, joining Aachen, Bad Oeynhausen, Duisburg, Hohensyburg and Monheim. The operator's project site states an opening planned for autumn 2026 on a site of more than 1,600 square metres in the Siegburg commercial district, on Isaac-Bürger-Straße.
As of mid-October 2026 the house is not open. The operator's own construction diary puts the roof closed and the window frames fitted, the solar panels installed, work on the exterior façade in progress and the interior fit-out running; the topping-out ceremony was held on 4 September and the most recent site update, on 15 October 2026, describes carpet being laid. The published opening target is still autumn 2026 and no exact date has been given.
What matters for poker players is what the operator has not said. The published description of the future offer runs only to classic table games, machine play and live shows. No game list, no table count and no mention of poker in any form has been published, so whether Siegburg will deal player-versus-player poker, the house-banked Heads-Up Hold'em that its sister houses in Duisburg, Monheim and Hohensyburg offer, or no card games at all, is simply unknown at the time of writing.
That distinction is the one to hold on to in this state. Across the five open MERKUR houses, the word poker in marketing material usually means Heads-Up Hold'em played against the bank; only Aachen, Bad Oeynhausen and Hohensyburg back it with games between players. Treat any Siegburg poker claim you see before opening as unconfirmed until the house publishes its own game offer.
Entry to North Rhine-Westphalian Spielbanken is from age 18, unlike neighbouring Lower Saxony where MERKUR requires 21.
