Mike 'Timex' McDonald from Waterloo, Ontario, became the youngest EPT champion ever when he won EPT Dortmund in January 2008 at 18 for $1,370,161, and went on to a run of Aussie Millions high-roller finals — third in the A$250,000 Challenge and second in the A$100,000 Challenge in 2014, second in the A$250,000 LK Boutique Challenge in 2015. He later co-founded the poker staking marketplace PokerShares and now lives in Calgary. Eighth on the Canadian all-time list with $13.4 million.
