Daniel Negreanu is the most famous poker player alive and Canada's all-time leading earner by a distance. Born in Toronto in 1974 to Romanian parents, he moved to Las Vegas in his early twenties and has been at the centre of the game ever since: seven WSOP bracelets, two WPT titles, a Poker Hall of Fame induction in 2014, and more than $57 million in live winnings as of 2026.
His biggest single cash was $8.29 million for second place in the 2014 Big One for One Drop; his most recent headline results are a $3.3 million Super High Roller Bowl win in 2022 and the $50,000 Poker Players Championship bracelet in 2024. He is known for a talkative, read-based style and for a YouTube vlog that documents every WSOP summer.
