Casino Baden, half an hour south of Vienna in the spa town of Baden bei Wien, is the flagship of the Casinos Austria group and the centre of live poker in Austria since the private card rooms closed. Its regular cash games are pot-limit rather than no-limit, as Austrian casino rules require: pot-limit Texas hold'em at €2/€5 with a €200 buy-in and pot-limit Omaha at €2/€2 with a €100 buy-in, with tournament and cash-game specials published each month. The tournament programme is the busiest in the country — beginner events, a weekly 'Surrender' format where every player in the money is paid the same amount, the Xperience Poker Open and the Pokermania series — and every November it hosts the CAPT Million, Austria's biggest tournament with a €1 million guarantee. Day 1 flights and satellites for it run in Casinos Austria venues across the country from September.
